Summer Songmaking in Brooklyn

Recording of Kai's first full length album is officially underway.  Glimpse inside the studio with Dave Sharma and Dhruva Ganesan as they progress deeper into the recording.  Photos capture an evening of percussion and beat architecture for the song ‘The Calling.’  Seeds, shells, wood, animal hide, rattles, metal bits, and one strange little thunder instrument from Pearl River Mart in Chinatown were combined with electronics to make a lush bed of rhythms.
